The history of Cuetec

Cuetec Cues burst onto the scene in 1989 as a new concept in billiard cues. The basic premise being a cue, using a patented process, with a Grade A Plus North American Maple shaft coated with a thin layer of fiberglass or graphite that stayed straight despite all adverse conditions, was extremely damage resistant against the rigors of all types of play, was easy to maintain, and most importantly offered true professional quality and playability at prices just about anyone could afford.

In 1987 an engineer from Taiwan named Jones Chang who had worked in the Tennis industry involved in manufacturing wood rackets clad in graphite showed some cue stick samples at the Billiard Expo that year using the same technology. The technology along with outstanding cue design led to the birth of Cuetec Cues. Cuetec Cues started in 1989 as a line of eight cues, four fiberglass, and four graphite, being distributed originally by the J-S Sales Co in Mt. Vernon, N.Y.

By 1992 Cuetec had a Pro Staff of five of the world’s top players. Through strong marketing, top-notch salesmanship, and the help of excellent pro endorsement the line tripled. In 1995 the Pro Staff was up to seven of the world’s top players, sales had exploded, and in a very short period of time was well on its way to being one of the top-selling brands in the United States and abroad.

By 2000, the line was now 58 cues strong with various cues covering all playing needs. The torch was passed to Imperial International in 2006 when they purchased J-S Sales.

Imperial and Cuetec have worked extremely hard to keep and maintain that professional quality players expect and have gotten used to. Cuetec had by then diversified into a line of top-quality one-piece house cues and accessories.

In 2009, Cuetec signed Shane Van Boening, a multiple Player of the Year, World, and U.S. Champion. In 2010, in conjunction with Shane Van Boening, Imperial and Cuetec introduced and perfected a hi-tech and state-of-the-art all-wood series called R360 that has become the standard of professional cues.

Since then Cuetec continues to be the highest and most professional quality cue available on the market today. Cuetec has hundreds of tournament wins to prove it.

Cuetec 3/8 x 14 - 21.30mm Joint Chrome Collar Cynergy Carbon Fiber Shaft

$399.00

Diameter

  • 12.5mm

CT-15K Cuetec 3/8-14 21.3mm Joint Carbon Shaft  12.5mm Cuetec  Joint carbon composite cue shafts  are constructed with multi-plies of resin-impregnated military-grade unidirectional carbon fiber filaments. The diameter of each filament is 7 um(0.007 mm), or about one-twelfth of a human hair. The orientation of these carbon fiber filaments is crucial to achieving optimal durability, strength, and performance. During the heat curing process, each of these specifically oriented filaments works together to ensure there are zero net displacements. The result is a perfectly straight and ultra-strong shaft.

The  Cuetec 3/8-14 21.3mm Joint Carbon Shaft is designed to fit the new SVB Model Cues.

Designed and Developed with aid of five-time U.S. Open Champion, Shane Van Boening for world-class performance, Cuetec is proud to introduce the all-new Cuetec Cynergy 15K Carbon Composite Cue Shaft. The Cuetec Cynergy 15K has been created with an exclusive pattern of spun 15K carbon fiber tow, strengthened by a poly-foam; the Cynergy 15K utilizes a expanded straight-taper, excessive thin white sighting ferrule, and 12.5mm Tiger Sniper tip to constitute a shaft that is filled with carbon fiber low deflection performance and the feel and feedback of wood.

Multi-directional Carbon Fiber Filaments
Cuetec 's Cynergy 15K carbon composite shafts have been created with multi-plies of resin-impregnated military grade unidirectional carbon fiber filaments. The diameter of each filament is 7 um(0.007 mm), or about one twelfth of a human hair. The orientation of these carbon fiber filaments is crucial to achieving the maximum durability, strength, and performance. During the heat curing process each of these specifically oriented filaments works together to ensure there is zero net displacement. The result is a perfectly straight and ultra-strong shaft.

Polyurethane Foam Core
The center of each Cynergy carbon composite shaft is its ultra-high-density polyurethane foam core. This Cuetec proprietary poly-foam core ads stability to the shaft, allowing for prescribed flex and creating a more wood-like sound upon contact with increased feel and feedback.

Flyweight Front-End Construction
Keeping the weight down is crucial for a shaft to minimize cue-ball deflection. Less weight means less deflection. Benefitting from their ultra-strong carbon composite construction, each Cynergy 15K shaft features Cuetec 's flyweight front-end build. This construction allows the Cynergy poly-foam to stop five inches below the tip, creating a rigid cavity with less mass and therefore less deflection on contact.

SST (Super Slim Taper)
Developed to provide the the pool player the most comfortable playing experience possible, each Cuetec Cynergy 15K Carbon Fiber shaft boasts the all-new Super Slim Taper. Measuring 15.5 inches in length from the tip, each Cynergy shaft has virtually zero rise, allowing for a more level and precise stroke, regardless or the player 's stroke length.

Thin White Sighting Ferrule
The ferrule measures only .25 inches long, the light-weight, thin white sighting ferrule on each Cynergy shaft not only aids in aim contrast and depth perception, but it also provides a more familiar and stable platform for tip maintenance and replacement over the life of the shaft.

2.5mm Tiger ® Sniper Tip
Selected for its high-performance and neutral hit attributes, each Cynergy shaft is paired with a Sniper tip. Naturally cured for more than a year, each Sniper tip is meticulously honed, utilizing a unique vacuum lamination process that insures the elimination of air between the tip 's ten layers.
